My recent mixed media paintings and sculptures are inspired by nature’s fragile and fleeting beauty. These artworks combine various traditional and non-traditional media and techniques to evoke glimpses of the often unnoticed and under-appreciated life around us. In addition to paints, handmade papers, and other traditional materials, my textural, atmospheric landscapes incorporate native plants and highlight their lines, shapes, patterns, colors, imperfections, personality and lifecycle. Each piece serves as an invitation to pause and reflect on our shared connection to the ever-changing and captivating natural world.
